As the distributor of Soudal in Singapore, we are announcing the change from Soudafoam FR to Soudafoam FR HY.

Soudafoam FR HY is a fire-resistant, hand-held PU foam that offers 25% more yield than the standard Soudafoam FR fire resisting foam. This means that with the same amount of product, you can fill more gaps and cavities, making it more cost-effective for our customers.

In fact, the “HY” suffix stands for “High Yield”.

Soudafoam FR HY is a one-component expanding polyurethane foam filler that cures rapidly and has excellent thermal and acoustic insulation properties. It expands 35-40 times its initial volume, providing excellent primerless adhesion on most construction materials. It also conforms to many international standards, making it a reliable choice for passive fire protection systems.

Soudafoam FR HY is easy to use. Simply shake the aerosol can for at least 20 seconds, put the adapter on the valve, and moisten surfaces with a water sprayer prior to application. For non-conventional substrates, a preliminary adhesion test is recommended. The foam can be applied in layers, with moistening after each layer. Fresh foam can be removed using Soudal Gun & Foamcleaner or acetone.
